Cohort-1 (week-4)
Task : FR6CG1 :Identify at least 3 girls/women in your community who married before the legal age. Analyze reasons for this. Attempt convincing the families to complete their school education at least.
Experience : The jagrik peer visited together in their own village for searching married girls who married before the legal age. They moved and asked about that to their village communities. Finally they can find out 3 girls who had married before the legal age and each girl engendered 4 child. This girls name are given below
- Jahura Khatun w/o Aman Ali
- Samiron Khatun w/o Amjad Ali
- Nazira Khatun w/o soleman Ali
Now their aged 20-21 years. They have belongs to poor and illiterate families and totally unaware about education rights, child rights, women right,and family planning etc. when the jagriks asked about that before age married to the girls they replied that “their parents had arranged marriage what we can do?” Jagrik interacted with many other community they said that “ when the girls become 14-15 aged they have arranged marriage and feel all side saved so Jagrik had think up the illiterate and poverty was the major reasons of the married before the legal age. The jagriks attempted to continue their school education and interact with each girls husband and their family. The jagrik discussed about importance of Education, RTE, Free & compulsory Education, But they said now they have a lots of family burdened and problems so that should not possible for them.
When their attempt had felt then the jagriks tried in order that should not be at the worst it again and they expressed to Stop the Child marriage. It is a pitiful of our society and overruling of the child right. The child marriage is curbing rights of the child and they can`t completed their study. Specially the girls are not enough strong physically, mentally and emotionally to adopting their babies so the less skills mother should be engendered a less skills babies. Nepoleon quoted, “Give me an educated mother , I shall promise you the birth of a civilized educated nation”
Learning :
They can felt everybody should be educated, and they can felt the Illiteracy is a dangerous issues for our society
Challenges:
When they discussed with the married girls and the community they did not want to talk with the Jagriks on this issues.
