Task-conduct or survey in your school/community on the redressal mechanism available to adolescent girls when faced with harassment.present your findings along with ideas for appropriate redressal mechanisms and share in your school and with your district/ block/village child protection officer.
Experience- priyanka and rani conducted a survey in their community with the adolescent girls who faced harassment.They conducted a week long survey and they reached about 20 adolescent girls.the jagrik duo went to those girl's houses in person and spoke to them.
Challenge- in this task they had to share the gathered informations with district/ block/village child protection officers.but they could not reach them.
Learning- at the end of survey the jagrik duo gathered all the informations in one place. They shared all the informations among all the 20 adolescent girls.they even shared this in their school and finally they came up with 3 ideas on how to reduce such harassment, how to stay alert and who to reach for when in trouble. They have written these ideas on a piece of paper and shared with me.also they shared these ideas vocally with their community and school girls.
